These are 19 inch American Hickory throwing tomahawk replacement handles with a smooth sanded & tumble waxed finish. The Hickory wood handles provide a perfect balance between weight and durability for standard throwing hawks. American hickory wood is 100% made in here in the USA.

These Walnut color/stained 19 inch Straight Grain Hickory Throwing Tomahawk Handles. This is the same handles as the HD101 standard hickory throwing tomahawk handle but comes in a custom walnut stain color. They come with a smooth sanded and wax coating finish to ensure a secure and slightly sticky grip. This glossy wax finish gives it a waterproof protectant and protects the wood from the steel head.

The following tips and suggestions can be used to improve the life of your handles and make throwing hawks more enjoyable:

• Coat your handle with a durable lacquer stain for long lasting durability
• Modify the length of the handle to suit your throwing preferences
• If the tomahawk head becomes too lose soak the tomahawk (both head & handle) overnight in water
• If the head is too small for the handle check the eye of the tomahawk head for any leftover burs that block the handle for seating properly
• If the head comes loose in the field, pound the top of the handle on a hard surface while the tomahawk head is seated to the handle for a tighter fit
