I like this pack quite a bit in the few times I've been able to use it out on mtb trails. Maybe it's just the awkwardness in general of having something on my back while I ride, but something about this doesn't feel quite "perfect." I think maybe I wish it sat a little lower like the newer CB mtb specific one (which I tried and liked the feel, but this was better feature-wise). The waist straps could be more comfy, but then they might just become something else to soak up sweat like the side flaps on the raptor seem like they might. There is more than adequate space for everything you should really need on at least a couple hour ride or longer, but it might not be enough for an all day epic. The suspension is nice, and my back doesn't feel too gross, but I'm still a little torn whether this is better or if airspeed is better (like on the syncro - but didn't like syncro layout). I really like the magnetic clasp for the bite valve and the bite valve itself. I've heard CBs bit valve is better (never actually used one), but I'm really liking what Osprey offers here. I can get more than enough liquid quickly. The hydration pouch itself is a tossup. I can't get my hand into it super easy for cleaning. So far I just drain it after a ride, suck what's left our of the hose, and prop it open as best as possible for it to dry out. I'm probably doing that totally wrong and should get the cleaning kit, but thus far I haven't had any issue with weird taste or obvious mildewing. Overall, my quibbles are mostly just due to pickiness and I think this is a great bag that I'm going to abuse the hell out of for years to come.
