This knife gives the expected Opinel quality - that is to say excellent, at a price that is more than a bargain - with a twist (zing!). It would be the ultimate picnic knife, if only we didn't live in a dystopian police state where uncorking a bottle of wine in a park can get you tossed in the joint. The blade geometry of an Opinel lets you cut bread, cheese, pastry, what have you, with ease, and it being a #10 gives you plenty of blade for whatever size food you're cutting.
For the Opinel purists out there, no, it's not carbon steel, but it is Sandvik 12c27, which is a damn fine and easy-to-sharpen stainless. As such, it has the unstained (but still varnished) handle typical of "inox" Opinels.
A great knife to have in your kitchen or glove compartment, or to give as a gift.
