Bark River Trakker Fixed Blade Knife Bocote Wood (USA)
The Bark River Trakker is a large outdoor and survival knife, made according to the classic Tracker pattern. The unique shape of the blade makes this Trakker incredibly versatile and one of the top rated in its class! It excels at both chopping and cutting task outdoors. The possibilities with this knife in survival situations are numerous and often documented. The large belly is great when cutting on a flat surface. A cutting board, for instance. The hooked part of the blade is hollow and thin. With a convex edge, this knife is excellent at making feathersticks from wood.
The blade is made from A2 tool steel. A strong type of steel that would rather bend than break. You do, however, need to be careful with moisture and acids: A2 is not completely stainless. So clean it after use and occasionally add a drop of oil to keep this knife in great shape. The edge has been enhanced with a convex grind which you can maintain by stropping.
The handle is made from bocote wood and is a strong and light-weight material. Feels comfortable in hand, even in wet or cold circumstances. The Bark River Trakker also comes with a leather belt sheath that is not only functional; but, also made with high quality craftsmanship and stunning!
What makes Bark River knives unique and popular? They make all of their knives almost completely by hand. As such each knife is unique. Especially when working with natural materials a knife can differ from the photographs. The knife you receive can therefore be subtly different from the product photos. The model and type of material, however, will always be the same.
The picture of this knife is the actual knife you will receive. Please review through all the details as each knife is made by hand and unique.
