This knife is a short, stout, thick (nearly 1/4 inch thick) spear point blade knife that is excellent for self defense. It is easily concealable and the gimping at the spine, as well as the finger indent at the choil mean you can grip this knife tightly for hard thrusts with little fear of slippage. Although I added a short length of 550 cord threaded through the last eyelet. This allows me to slip my bottom three fingers through to further limit the risk of slippage while trusting. The limitation of this knife is that it is mostly a last ditch, self defense thrusting weapon (think besh wedge) and nothing more.
Yes it has an edge, but the thickness of the blade, and the short length of the cutting edge, severely limits this knife as a slicing tool. At most it would be decent at cutting up cardboard and other similar tasks. But that's not what I bought this knife for nor what it was intended for. The G-10 blue/black handle material (with red liners) is a nice touch, adds a bit of style to the knife. That along with the satin, bead blasted finish of the blade gives it an overall appealing appearance.
The sheathe is well made kydex that is molded to the knife. The knife fits the sheath very well, and its a tight fit without having to use undue force to draw the knife, but also being tight enough there is no fear of the knife falling out. The metal belt clip is decent though I can see it needing to be replaced eventually as it may weaken and bend out.
Overall this in a very good last ditch self defense blade, though for me I feel it's a bit overpriced. But hey, I like and collect knives, so sometimes I indulge. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a knife of this type.
