This emergency fire starter kit is lightweight, easy to carry, and will work even if previously soaked in water. The Ferrocium rod is very dependable. The 2 magnesium rods can be used to put shavings into your tinder bundle. Once the magnesium ignites, it burns very hot increasing the chances of your other tinder starting ablaze.

This kit includes the 3 rod fire starter, a TOPS Survival Whistle, A P38 can opener (which can also be used as a striker for the Ferro rod), and a 30 inch ball chain.

• ROD 1 FERROCIUM ...Super Flint Firestarter. Contains: Mischmetals (Rare Earth Metals) Iron, Magnesium, Cerium, Lanthanium, Cerium, Neodymium, Praseodymium. Measures: 3/16" x 2".
• ROD 2-3 Magnesium Rods-Fast Burning (Very Hot). Measures: 3/16" x 2".
• All 3 RODS are pressed into a 3/4" aircraft aluminum machined barrel. No glue is used to hold rods in barrel.
