Laguiole Honoré Durand has been family owned and operated for the last 30 years. Honoré Durand is recognized by the French State as a Master Craftsman and Christophe Durand has earned a craftsman recognition. Both brothers own and operate the company today.

Each knife requires between 109 and 216 manual operations depending on the knife that’s being made. A majority of our components are made in-house, including the blades, springs, plates, bolsters and leather sheaths. All of the plates are shaped by hand and nothing is sourced from outside of France.
