Pro-Tech 5206 Malibu Manual Flipper Knife 3.30" CPM-20CV Black DLC Textured Handles
The Malibu is Protech’s exciting entry into the manual flipper market. Highlighted by its silky smooth action and featherweight nature, the Malibu is an EDC force to be reckoned with. The Malibu comes with two blade configurations: Reverse Tanto or Wharncliffe. Both feature premium CPM 20cv blade steel for unbelievably long edge retention and strength and have a high flat grind to provide a razor cutting edge that terminates in a fine piercing tip. The overall aesthetic of the blade is kept free from markings on the front and back show sides. The Pro-Tech maker’s mark has been hidden from view on the knife’s spine, while the steel stamp is cleverly hidden on the flipper tab, providing a clean form devoid of superfluous markings. The handle features thoroughly refined ergonomics designed to comfortably fit any size hand, sporting a gently curved spine with finger indexing set into the chamfer on the front of the handle. A mini deep carry clip ensures that this slender knife carries discreetly.
This model comes with a reverse tanto blade which is specially good at utility tasks with a slight belly and strong useful tip. The ergonomic handle is milled aluminum with a tapered shape and finger grooves that really allow for a solid, non-slip grip. The deep carry clip is set-up for right-hand, tip-up carry and a tiny lanyard hole is built into the single-pieces handle scales and backspacer. This knife reminds us of a mixture of a Kershaw Leek and a Benchmade 940 knives which are two of the best EDC knives available. This model features a black DLC blade and black aluminum scales.
