The ESEE Model 3 in CPM S35VN steel is a solid survival knife with a remarkable upgrade. Normally this knife is namely made from 1095 carbon steel. A tough type of steel that is quickly prone to rust. After the knife community had been asking for a premium type of stainless steel for years ESEE finally decided to experiment with CPM S35VN steel. This is the result: the ESEE in S35VN
This original ESEE 3 is an industry standard sheath knife for law enforcement and special forces teams. Upgraded for the modern user, this compact fixed blade is made from high performance, CPM-S35VN stainless steel with a rugged stonewashed finish and comes equipped with the new, 3D milled and contoured black G10 handle scales. This knife is everything you love from the original ESEE 3 with better performance in edge retention, corrosion resistance and ergonomics.
Blade: The full flat grind drop point blade delivers excellent slicing performance and features spine jimping and an index finger choil for enhanced control during heavy cutting. Finished with a heavy stone wash, the S35VN blade delivers a good balance of performance and holds up well under heavy use. Brand, model and steel markings are laser etched on the front of the blade.
Handle: A full tang construction supports ESEE's new 3D machined handles in black G10. Contoured to fill the hand, the 3D scales are comfortable during prolonged use while offering excellent traction in wet and dry conditions thanks to the milled texture. An exposed portion of the tang at the pommel can be used as a striking tool and is equipped with a hole for lanyard attachment.
Carries via a custom molded polymer sheath.
CPM S35VN: was designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V and the adjusted chemistry makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping.

What are your shipping policies and how fast will my order arrive?
North River Outdoors offers free shipping for purchases of $99 and over within the United States (some oversized items may incur charges). We strive to ship in-stock orders within 24-48 hours, often the same day if placed before 5 PM Eastern Time. Standard free shipping typically arrives via UPS or USPS within 3-6 business days. We currently ship to the USA at this time. You can track your order status by logging into "My Account" on our website.
What is your return and exchange policy?
We offer a 60-day return policy for unopened and unused items, for a 100% refund. Items must be returned in the same (or similar) condition in which they were received. Opened, used, or damaged products, or those not following our return policy, may be subject to a 15% restocking fee. We reserve the right to refuse returns in non-sellable condition. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

Do you offer any services like knife sharpening or gear repair?
Yes! We offer a range of services at our Virginia store, including knife sharpening, axe sharpening and rehandling, knife/axe cleaning and conditioning, and waxed canvas bag/pack waxing and conditioning. We also provide laser engraving. Drop-off for services is available Monday-Saturday, with a typical turnaround of 1-2 business days.
