The Shun Kazahana 8-inch Chef’s Knife is a specialized kitchen tool designed to handle a wide range of tasks and is ideal for preparing fruits, vegetables, meat and more. This gyuto-style Japanese kitchen knife features a slightly curved belly for rocking through fresh herbs and spices for a very fine mince. Made with AUS10A high-carbon stainless steel reinforced with vanadium and a contoured Pakkawood handle, this chef’s knife is strong, durable and precise. The butt of the knife is designed to function as a bottle opener and allows for easy hanging on knife hooks. In Japanese, “Kazahana” means “snow that flickers like petals dancing in a clear sky,” much like the blade’s beautiful satin finish. Supported by free sharpening and honing.
