Designed for shooters, EarPro Sonic Defenders offer an exceptional solution to many of the other common, hearing protection challenges.
Sonic Defenders feature a double-flange stem design that fits most people and provides a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of either 11dB (with stoppers open) or 24 dB (with stoppers inserted.) EarPro Sonic Defenders® feature attached stopper plugs, which can be inserted to help block out lower-level noise like that heard on a plane, or in situations where hearing ambient sounds or conversations isn't critical, such as when trying to sleep.
With the stoppers open, sounds at safe volume levels are allowed to pass through the earplugs into the ear canal with just a small amount of attenuation letting you clearly hear conversations, range officer commands, traffic noise, and warning sounds. With the stoppers either open or closed, potentially harmful noises (above 85dB) are instantly reduced via a proprietary design that incorporates an acoustic filter. As the noise level increases, the attenuation provided by the acoustic filters also increases, giving you increasing protection instantly and continuously as you need it.
The right/left color-coded Sonic Defenders are made from a soft but durable, hypoallergenic polymer and are ergonomically shaped, with an adjustable-stem design, providing a secure fit, all-day comfort, and extended product life (3 to 6 months or more, depending on usage and care). Sonic Defenders low-profile design means they can be worn while wearing a helmet or mask or while using a phone or headset.
For those with larger ear canals, triple-flanged EP4 Sonic Defenders Plus may provide a better fit.

What are your shipping policies and how fast will my order arrive?
North River Outdoors offers free shipping for purchases of $99 and over within the United States (some oversized items may incur charges). We strive to ship in-stock orders within 24-48 hours, often the same day if placed before 5 PM Eastern Time. Standard free shipping typically arrives via UPS or USPS within 3-6 business days. We currently ship to the USA at this time. You can track your order status by logging into "My Account" on our website.
What is your return and exchange policy?
We offer a 60-day return policy for unopened and unused items, for a 100% refund. Items must be returned in the same (or similar) condition in which they were received. Opened, used, or damaged products, or those not following our return policy, may be subject to a 15% restocking fee. We reserve the right to refuse returns in non-sellable condition. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

Do you offer any services like knife sharpening or gear repair?
Yes! We offer a range of services at our Virginia store, including knife sharpening, axe sharpening and rehandling, knife/axe cleaning and conditioning, and waxed canvas bag/pack waxing and conditioning. We also provide laser engraving. Drop-off for services is available Monday-Saturday, with a typical turnaround of 1-2 business days.
