The Block Knife Sharpener

For something so simple, there is a learning curve. Taking light strokes, That is how I put scratches on my knife and didn't touch the cutting edge. I got good enough results applying more pressure but the (admittedly minor) damage was already done. I haven't ruled out spending the money on a new knife though it isn't really necessary because I had managed not to damage or scratch it in any way until now. I may try this on older knives that I don't care about because it seems to work if you do it right but I'll never touch my best knives with it. I don't wan't to be unfair and maybe it deserves more than three stars but it may cost me more than the purchase price to replace a knife I should never have tried this on. But that seems like a waste. Stuff happens.

I really like this sharpener. My husband and I both have one. He keeps one with his knives and I keep one in the kitchen. The work wonderfully for both of us! Sharpens the knives with just a few strokes to the sharpener! It an awesome feeling having a sharp knife when you need it!!
