TOPS Cheetah Knife

Perfect small companion knife. Sheath prevents five stars; limited mounting options and covers too much of the hilt.

I own several tops products and they are all amazing.. this one gets 4 stars only because the sheath comes up way too high. Only about an inch comes out, which makes it tough to grab.. however the quality of the knife is amazing as always, sharp, holds the edge great. Blade geometry is good and blade angle is good. Overall a great but for the price.

For a belt knife, this is very unobtrusive, thin and light, but limited in uses by those characteristics. I'm a big fan of TOPS quality and design, so I was pleased with this at first, but when I found myself packing a beefier folder in my pants pocket to handle heavier tasks, I realized I was enjoying the feel and convenience of it, but relying on something else for a lot of cutting tasks beyond cord and box cutting - for which it's kind of expensive. So far I've kept it, but there are better choices for the money if you're a user more than a collector.

Great little knife makes a perfect skinning knife and everyday carry. I actually bought this to retire a benchmade griptillian which a fantastic knife as well, but was looking for the merits of a fixed blade. I may get the cheetah xl as I would like it to be a smudge bigger in the handle to fit my hands better. Not my first Tops knive and definitely not my last. Minus one star due to the quality of the sheath.
